Plastbau Arabia’s EPS (expanded polystyrene) is a lighweight, rigid, closed cell insulation. EPS is available in densities that range between 7 & 40 kg/m3. This closed-cell structure provides minimal water absorption and low vapor permanence.
Advantages of plastbau Arabia’s EPS:
- Long-term R-Value. (Resistance to heat flow)
- Energy effeciency.
- Constant thermal resistance.
- Measurable energy savings.
- No growth of bacteria or decay over time.
- Dimensional stability.
- Chemical inertness.
- Low cost.
- Fire resistance.
typically used for themal insulation in EIFS with thicknesses that normally range between 5 & 10 cm. Depending on the level of insulation intended to be achived.
commonly used in construction locally as a lightweight fill in ceilings. Hordi blocks typically have low density & enlongated shape.
Geofoam foundation is the use of EPS blocks as a lightweight fill for soil stabilization. Geofoam blocks are typically bulky and have high density for a strong compressive resistance to provide long-term functionality that does not need to be adjusted for age.
EPS loose beads
EPS beads have many different uses and applications. In construction it is most commonly used as an additive to lightweight concrete mixes.
regilar pillars can be given a fresh look by covering them with EPS pillar casings. With a fiber mesh finish, it can have any kind of texture that a homeowner desires.
EPS pattern decor
many different patterns can be cut on EPS materials and used in decoration. It is a lower cost & lighter weight alternative to GRC and gypsum pattern decoration with the same level of strength. However, a mould is not required for production. Therefore, there is a high level of flexibility in design.
EPS Decor Cornice
EPS cornices is the new evolution in interior design where all the corners and edges are cut with high precision at any desired measurement or shape to be used anywhere without worrying about heavy objects falling from the above.
Plastbau Arabia’s Silver EPS has significantly better insulation properties compared to white EPS. Asilver insulation board with a density of 15 kg/m3 has a thermal conductivity (u-value) of 0.032 W/mk. Therefore, it provides better insulation at lower densities and/or thicknesses than white EPS.
